Arcade / on-location games can credit up through various non-traditional means, e.g., paid location entry with all games on free play, swipe card systems, integrated cashless systems, bill collectors, etc. Some locations might switch games between coin drop and free play for tournaments or other events. In these cases, operators may want to cover the coin slots to prevent confusion -- especially from younger clientele who aren't always sure how to operate or credit the games. Locations who do utilize coin drop might experience a coin slot that jams or breaks (without immediate opportunity to repair), so an operator might want to cover one of the two available slots.

In any of the above scenarios, consider Rocket City Pinball's CoinBlockers! These are designed to fit most modern games that use the Universal Pinball Validator Door (P/N 40-0696-30) from Suzo-Happ (reference https://na.suzohapp.com/products/coin_doors/40-0696-30). CoinBlockers are designed to snugly fit over the coin slot frames, and have a textured surface finish to blend in with the finish of the door. Simply press the CoinBlocker firmly in place and the coin slots disappear! To remove, firmly grasp the CoinBlocker and pull/rock it until it pops off.

Q: Could a guest remove this?
A: Only with adequate force -- but why would they? The CoinBlocker blends in with the door and in most cases will be completely ignored. It cannot be removed with an inadvertent bump; they are very snug when installed so removal requires intent.

CoinBlockers are available in Dual-Slot style which covers both slots (ideal for free play or swipe card setups). Broken or jammed slot? Cover it in a flash (until you have time to repair it) with the single-slot style CoinBlocker. One wall on the Single-Slot version is thin enough to fit between the two slot frames. Single-Slot style can also be used on doors with wider slot spacing (e.g., 40-0707-00), or exported games with only a single slot.

Wanna get fancy? CoinBlockers can also be customized with your location's logo! Send a vectorized or layered version of your logo and it can be printed right onto your CoinBlocker. (For customized CoinBlockers, you must add one Customization Fee to your cart, regardless of the number of CoinBlockers you intend to order. This is for the time required to process the logo and integrate it into the CoinBlocker model for printing.)

“Let’s do what we do best, Scoob — play pinball.” (Ok maybe it was “eat”.)

I like what Spooky did with the launch button on the Collector’s Edition of Scooby Doo, so I’ve emulated that but in my Rocket City Pinball 3D button style!

This button can be used to replace the launch button — or the start button! — for all three versions of the game.

I acquired a beautiful translucent turquoise filmanent for the background on Scooby’s dog tag, and printed the border & letters in a lovely shiny gold. The border has a nice filleted edge and the letters have a spherically-rounded surface. They are permanently fused together using a mid-print filament change.

Standard & Blood Sucker Edition owners (or CE owners buying this as a Start button) will require the button + full housing.

Collector’s Edition owners — if choosing to upgrade their existing launch button — need only by the button by itself; you will replace the outer lens in a similar fashion as shown in the video below; no electrical work will be required.

– If using this for a Start button on any version, you’ll note that Spooky uses a smaller, recessed start button (unlike the now-standard ~1.5″ start buttons used by Stern and JJP). The complete housing assembly for this button will fully replace it and will cover the counterbore in the cabinet, leaving you with a clean installation of the new larger button.
– If using this as a launch button on the Standard or Blood Sucker edition, you will remove the original round full assembly and replace it with this new housing.
In either of the above two situations, some basic electrical work will be required, due to Spooky’s wiring configuration — your choice of either cutting/stripping two wires and crimping on terminals, or simple desolder/resolder of two wires.

Modeled to emulate the Mystery Machine's spare tire cover, this replacement Start button for Scooby Doo is available in two different versions: pale green base to match the Standard and Blood Sucker edition cabinets, or a standard translucent green base to match the Collector's Edition cabinet. Includes full housing assembly to replace the original button & cover the hole. More details & installation instructions in Description section below.

“Let’s do what we do best, Scoob — play pinball.” (Ok maybe it was “eat”.)

Replacement 3D Start button for Spooky’s Scooby Doo — modeled to look like the Mystery Machine’s spare tire cover!

Manufacturing of this button requires four mid-print filament changes — permanently fusing it all together — to give it the cartoony look of the flower-embossed tire cover. It contains two separate metallic orange filaments to give the flower a pleasant sheen and differentiate the petals from the center, while using just a bit of black to give it the hand-drawing-like outline. The button face has a nice filleted edge, and the face of the flower has a spherically-curved surface.

This button can be used to replace the start button for all three versions of Scooby Doo (Standard, Blood Sucker, or Collector’s Edition).

Due to the different cabinet art designs, two different green base colors are available to better match their colors — a pale green for the Standard and Blood Sucker editions’ Mystery Machine style, and more standard green to match the Collector’s edition trim.

You’ll note that Spooky uses a smaller, recessed start button (unlike the now-standard ~1.5″ start buttons used by other pinball manufacturers). The complete housing assembly provided with this button will fully replace it and will cover the counterbore in the cabinet, leaving you with a clean installation of the new larger button. Some basic electrical work will be required, due to Spooky’s wiring configuration — your choice of either cutting/stripping two wires and crimping on terminals, or simple desolder/resolder of two wires.
