On Venom Premium & LE, the Doppelganger and his big ol' booty cause two major issues:

1) It completely obstructs the player's view of the right orbit's primary insert -- several times I was looking for the next mini-mode shot and couldn't find it!
2) The right-most dangly target can get caught in the shooter lane. Stern tried to prevent this by adding a small plastic/acrylic under there, but it's not tall enough.

Rocket City Pinball has you covered with some simple but necessary solutions!

Problem #1 is addressed with a shatterproof mirror on a 3D-printed support, which mounts on the side of the lane divider. It has curved mounting tabs to allow you adjust its position/angle best suited for your height and/or playing position. Once properly positioned, it will reflect the insert in the mirror so now you can see it, while still having plenty of room for the ball to pass beneath it and around the orbit.

Problem #2 is addressed with an improved design laser-cut acrylic, adding the extra height needed to prevent the dangly target from swinging into the shooter lane.

Installation video contains more details and DIY instructions.

Note: Premium/LE only; the Pro does not have the doppelganger mechanism.

Arcade / on-location games can credit up through various non-traditional means, e.g., paid location entry with all games on free play, swipe card systems, integrated cashless systems, bill collectors, etc. Some locations might switch games between coin drop and free play for tournaments or other events. In these cases, operators may want to cover the coin slots to prevent confusion -- especially from younger clientele who aren't always sure how to operate or credit the games. Locations who do utilize coin drop might experience a coin slot that jams or breaks (without immediate opportunity to repair), so an operator might want to cover one of the two available slots.

In any of the above scenarios, consider Rocket City Pinball's CoinBlockers! These are designed to fit most modern games that use the Universal Pinball Validator Door (P/N 40-0696-30) from Suzo-Happ (reference https://na.suzohapp.com/products/coin_doors/40-0696-30). CoinBlockers are designed to snugly fit over the coin slot frames, and have a textured surface finish to blend in with the finish of the door. Simply press the CoinBlocker firmly in place and the coin slots disappear! To remove, firmly grasp the CoinBlocker and pull/rock it until it pops off.

Q: Could a guest remove this?
A: Only with adequate force -- but why would they? The CoinBlocker blends in with the door and in most cases will be completely ignored. It cannot be removed with an inadvertent bump; they are very snug when installed so removal requires intent.

CoinBlockers are available in Dual-Slot style which covers both slots (ideal for free play or swipe card setups). Broken or jammed slot? Cover it in a flash (until you have time to repair it) with the single-slot style CoinBlocker. One wall on the Single-Slot version is thin enough to fit between the two slot frames. Single-Slot style can also be used on doors with wider slot spacing (e.g., 40-0707-00), or exported games with only a single slot.

Wanna get fancy? CoinBlockers can also be customized with your location's logo! Send a vectorized or layered version of your logo and it can be printed right onto your CoinBlocker. (For customized CoinBlockers, you must add one Customization Fee to your cart, regardless of the number of CoinBlockers you intend to order. This is for the time required to process the logo and integrate it into the CoinBlocker model for printing.)

Two 'destinations' inside the game -- the Life Foundation, and the Daily Bugle -- grace the face of these 3D printed coin reject buttons. The buttons are printed using mid-layer filament changes, allowing for full color designs while permanently fusing the design to the button!

Purchase includes a pair of buttons (one Bugle, one Life), and two colored bulbs where applicable (e.g., red, green, purple).

Installation is easy! See installation instructions below.

**Buyer is responsible to confirm their coin door uses this Suzo-Happ button type (replacement for button only in 42-0517 assembly, no housing included), as some export/reimport games may have had coin doors changed/modified.**

In the spirit of the character team-ups in the Venom game -- Rocket City Pinball and FlipMods have teamed up to bring you the RocketFlip Daily Bugle building mod!

Let's all agree ... the tall plastic above the scoop doesn't really make any sense. With the Ravencroft Institute and gates on the left, and the Bell Tower in the middle, this standup plastic on the right ought to be a structure too, for better playfield balance. It's the Daily Bugle lane, so it's a no-brainer -- this plastic should be replaced by a Daily Bugle building!

RocketFlip's Daily Bugle is based on the building design shown in the playfield artwork and game animations. The front is 3D printed in multiple colors, including concrete (flat gray with dark flake) for the structure, translucent light blue for the windows, and translucent lettering with black trim. The internal structure of the printed building -- a separately printed piece -- contains strategically positioned walls & openings designed to light the building's front windows (when each mode is lit) while preventing light bleed to the other unlit modes.

Installation is easy and requires only basic tools (screwdriver, socket or wrench). This mod also includes (3) replacement screws, which will better blend in with the building design (instead of the OEM black ones). See how to install it here:

COLLABORATION NOTE: Because this is a Rocket City Pinball / FlipMods collaboration, we will be offering it in both of our respective shops and websites (at the same price) for your convenience. This will allow you to purchase it from either shop and combine shipping with other items you may be purchasing from that respective modder. All proceeds will be split evenly regardless of which shop processes the purchase.

The subtle details matter!

Much of the factory hardware (silver screws, washers, nuts, clear posts) clash with the plastics & artwork of the beautiful Venom game in several areas. Rocket City Pinball has sourced black hardware to better match the game, and has meticulously gone through each of the different size and length fasteners that should be changed (generally anything in/near certain artwork/plastics). The kit also includes several HexSleeves to cover some unsightly hex spacers.

The kit includes 63-73 parts, including:

All the black hardware needed to replace screws, nuts, & washers in visible, accessible areas where the factory hardware doesn't match the art/surroundings

4 HexSleeves, 3D-printed and pre-sized to the proper lengths

Optional replacement posts in gorgeous colors that match the playfield artwork

Kits for all models (Pro/Prem/LE) contain the same hardware. See installation map/instructions/tips linked in the Installation Instructions section.

FAQ:
Q: I don't see much difference in the before & after pics, what the heck am I looking at?
A: Look closely at the attach hardware on/around the plastics. It's amazing how much better they blend in when the colors match or complement better.

Q: Why should I pay so much for what's basically just a bag of small hardware?
A: Much of this hardware isn't common and/or isn't available in small quantities -- there are 11 different types of hardware in the kit, in various small quantities. Purchasing minimum quantity of every different type would be much more expensive than simply buying this kit. Plus, Rocket City Pinball has saved you all the time of figuring out what sizes & lengths you need, and what should go where. In addition, there are a handful of parts that RCP has modeled & 3D printed. You're receiving a fully prepared kit and simply install it according to the instructions! Your purchase covers the cost of the hardware, the 3D printed parts, and the time spent developing the kit (and packing each one) to save you all that time and effort!

Q: What if I disagree with what looks good in certain places?
A: At the end of the day, it's your game -- so if you think something looks better with OEM hardware than with the colored items included, then just leave them out!

Q: What tools will I need?
A: 5/16” nut driver, 11/32” nut driver, 1/4" wrench, Phillips head screwdriver. See installation instructions for details!

Gooey-looking tendrils absorb the your flasher domes as if they're the next host! These are 3D-printed in a sparkly black filament to give them a moist, glistening look.

Alternate dome colors available to personalize your game -- clear/white, purple, blue, or amber. Rocket City Pinball recommends blue domes for the lower two, amber for upper right, and keep the OEM red at the upper left location (this location used with Carnage modes).

NOTE: Early-run Pro games had 'floating' domes with no plastics, while later Pros and Premium/LE had decorative plastics. Reference picture for details -- the symbiotes are different heights for each configuration, so be sure to order the correct ones!

The four big flasher bulb covers in Venom definitely needed some attention! Rocket City Pinball to the rescue with Symbiote Flasher Covers — gooey-looking tendrils absorbing the bulb cover as if it’s the next host! These are 3D-printed in a sparkly black filament (same as the one used for my Venom 3D Start Button) to give it a moist, glistening look.

Personally, I don’t think the OEM red domes are the optimal color choice in this game (except for the top left location which flashes during modes associated with Carnage), so I offer the Symbiote Flasher Covers with alternate color domes included, like clear/white, purple, blue, or amber. (In my game, I put blue at both lower flashers, amber at the upper right one, and kept the red for the upper left.) Get creative and decide what you like best!

***NOTE REGARDING EARLY RUN PRO VERSIONS*** On early run Pro games, the flasher domes were floating out in space, attached by only one tab, with the other tab cut off. (Reference left side of comparison image below.) As such, my Symbiote was sized to fit over the floating dome. However, later Pro versions, as well as all LEs and Premiums, have an improved design with new decorative plastics, which require shorter symbiotes. Please be sure to order the correct ones! Reference pictures for details.
