Arcade / on-location games can credit up through various non-traditional means, e.g., paid location entry with all games on free play, swipe card systems, integrated cashless systems, bill collectors, etc. Some locations might switch games between coin drop and free play for tournaments or other events. In these cases, operators may want to cover the coin slots to prevent confusion -- especially from younger clientele who aren't always sure how to operate or credit the games. Locations who do utilize coin drop might experience a coin slot that jams or breaks (without immediate opportunity to repair), so an operator might want to cover one of the two available slots.

In any of the above scenarios, consider Rocket City Pinball's CoinBlockers! These are designed to fit most modern games that use the Universal Pinball Validator Door (P/N 40-0696-30) from Suzo-Happ (reference https://na.suzohapp.com/products/coin_doors/40-0696-30). CoinBlockers are designed to snugly fit over the coin slot frames, and have a textured surface finish to blend in with the finish of the door. Simply press the CoinBlocker firmly in place and the coin slots disappear! To remove, firmly grasp the CoinBlocker and pull/rock it until it pops off.

Q: Could a guest remove this?
A: Only with adequate force -- but why would they? The CoinBlocker blends in with the door and in most cases will be completely ignored. It cannot be removed with an inadvertent bump; they are very snug when installed so removal requires intent.

CoinBlockers are available in Dual-Slot style which covers both slots (ideal for free play or swipe card setups). Broken or jammed slot? Cover it in a flash (until you have time to repair it) with the single-slot style CoinBlocker. One wall on the Single-Slot version is thin enough to fit between the two slot frames. Single-Slot style can also be used on doors with wider slot spacing (e.g., 40-0707-00), or exported games with only a single slot.

Wanna get fancy? CoinBlockers can also be customized with your location's logo! Send a vectorized or layered version of your logo and it can be printed right onto your CoinBlocker. (For customized CoinBlockers, you must add one Customization Fee to your cart, regardless of the number of CoinBlockers you intend to order. Cactus flasher for Cactus Canyon (Original & Remake)

Cactus Canyon has a boring red flasher dome at the u-turn in the left ramp. This dome is begging to be something else that can light up -- what better than a cactus?! NOTE: This mod fits both the original and the remake.

The cactus is growing amongst a base of sedimentary rock -- 3D printed as one continuous piece with mid-layer filament changes. A color-gradient filament is used for the rocks, giving them a natural sedimentary appearance, while the cactus is printed in translucent green.

Cactus flasher includes a green dome cover (for richer green color light) with a strip of double-sided tape pre-installed on its outer surface. Cactus/rocks install right over the dome.

Medieval Madness Start Button

Medieval Madness's cabinet had artwork around the Start button -- the shield found in the game's artwork & animations. To complete the shield design, the 3D start button has to be the goofy skull!

Inspired by the goofy cracked skull but transformed into 3D and manipulated & reconfigured to conform to my button design, this button requires a mid-print filament change -- permanently fusing together the button base and skull. The button base is translucent and lights up (through the eye sockets and nose of the skull), finishing off the complete shield design. The clear/white base lights up and matches the lightning in the artwork around it on the cabinet.

The button comes pre-installed in a new housing assembly which fully replaces the small, recessed start button. The new assembly covers the counterbore in the cabinet, leaving you with a clean installation of a larger 1.5" start button! This fits both versions of the game -- the original MM or the updated MMr.

Attack From Mars Start Button (Original and Remake)

While looking over the game for design inspiration, the round section with red hexagons between the flippers caught my attention. I worked the hexagons and colors into the base of the button, with START in an AFM-esque font over the top of the hexagons. Knowing hexes ending near the edge of the button could potentially be sharp, I rounded these edges in the model for a smoother smoother.

Games from this era used smaller start buttons, while my 3D start buttons are 1.5″ (the size used on modern Stern, JJP, AP, etc.) Included with this new 3D button is a larger housing (with the button pre-installed) which fully replaces the smaller button and covers up the counterbore in the cabinet.

This button design requires FOUR mid-print filament changes — permanently fusing together all the components of the design. The button base and hexagons are translucent and light up.

This fits both versions of the game, the original AFM or the updated AFMr.

These 3D-printed replacement coin reject buttons for Medieval Madness feature a gray castle tower with an internal spiral staircase visible through the window!
