JJP's beautiful Sonic the Hedgehog game has some figure/representation issues:
- Sonic's black mounting bracket is very visible and clashes with the artwork!
- Amy has a small black bracket with the same color clash.
- Where are Tails & Knuckles? They're OGs from the Genesis era!
- Shadow ... well he's just cool, and could use some representation.

Rocket City Pinball's got 'em covered -- resolve these problems with these replacement bracket / cleanup kits and additional character kits!

For Sonic, replace the unsightly black bracket with a custom translucent green one, that not only blends in better with the artwork but also transmits some of the surrounding light. In addition, the bracket replacement includes a green hex sleeve and green screw to dress up the nearby spotlight, and a translucent white/clear hex sleeve/cap to better hide the anti-ball trap hex spacer.

For Amy, a translucent green bracket replaces her black bracket, and includes a green mounting nut.

Let's add Tails! Included in the Tails kit is Tails himself (holding a wrench, since he's the gearhead of the group), pre-assembled to a custom translucent green mounting bracket, to position him adjacent to Big & Froggy's pond on the right side of the game. Tails kit also includes a translucent green hexsleeve and green screw to clean up the adjacent spotlight.

Let's add Knuckles too! The Bash target area is perfect for him, since he is associated with this feature in all the game's animations. The Knuckles kit includes Knuckles himself, pre-assembled to a custom translucent green mounting bracket (designed with anti-ball-trap features) and a green countersunk mounting screw.

While he's not one of the OGs, anit-hero Shadow is still featured very prominently in the game art, so let's add him too! The Shadow kit simply includes the Shadow model and a white-topped mounting screw, to mounting him climbing up the wall into Robotnik's lab.

There are many models of each of these characters out there, and I acquired several different versions to choose the best ones for these kits, with particular attention paid to the general quality/appearance and the size (in comparison to the existing Sonic & Amy models). Tails is slightly smaller than Sonic, Knuckles is slightly larger, and Shadow is roughly the same size.

Shop variations are set up to allow you to purchase any combination of the kits, in case you want particular characters and not others, or only want the replacement brackets for Sonic & Amy without adding any new characters.

See Installation Instructions section for DIY-install video!

Details matter -- and Rocket City Pinball believes in changing and/or hiding OEM hardware to better match each game's art package!

In Sonic the Hedgehog, the Battle Zone has caution-stripe accents on the plastics & playfield. In this area are two four posts and two ugly silver hex spacers that are begging for an upgrade! RCP had already developed a beautiful yellow/black caution-striped post (for use on games like Jurassic Park, Road Show, and more) -- and so took the next step to clean up the Battle Zone!

This 14-piece kit features 6 gorgeous 3D-printed posts and HexSleeves in caution-stripe black & yellow and 2 black screws, washers, lockwashers, and nuts to replace the OEM hardware to complete the cleaner look. (Note: even though JJP used black nuts, their locking inserts are white -- the nuts included in this kit are black with BLACK inserts!)

This is a very easy mod to install, even for beginners! You will need to remove the upper playfield to install this kit -- but every Sonic owner should know how to do this for cleaning/maintenance purposes. It's easy -- four hexes, one screw, four connectors, and two nuts. Full installation instructions (including video for upper playfield removal) included in Installation Instructions section below.

Dress up the cabinet's round speaker openings with Sonic's rings! These shiny 3D rings install in seconds -- they are printed with a black base sized to simply press-fit into the speaker opening, for instant cosmetic improvement. Item listing is for a set of two. Fits all versions of the game.

Note: a faint line (3D print seam) may be visible (cannot be hidden on round prints), but is very subtle once installed. Recommend orienting the seam at the 12-o'clock position, since its proximity to the cabinet's upper surface helps hide it. (Reference pictures in this listing.)

For Sonic the Hedgehog, these 3D printed buttons feature the seven chaos emeralds! The emeralds are printed in translucent filaments to give a crystalline look and light up! Note: the white emerald is printed in a sparkle-white filament instead of clear; since the button base is clear, the emerald would disappear into the background. The button and emeralds are printed together with mid-print filament changes -- seven colors per layer for the emeralds -- so they are permanently fused together.

Installation is easy! See installation instructions below.

**Buyer is responsible to confirm their coin door uses this Suzo-Happ button type (replacement for button only in 42-0517 assembly, no housing included), as some export/reimport games may have had coin doors changed/modified.**

With the large ring on the cabinet art surrounding the start button housing, and the importance of reaching the end of each zone, this Rocket City pinball 3D start button completes the art and converts the whole start button area into the bright & colorful Goal Ring!

This gorgeous start button features a four-color base (green, cyan, blue, and purple) topped with a 3D shiny metallic red star. The colors are intentionally close enough that their edges blend together, giving the color gradient appearance just like the Goal Ring in the game.

Gotta go fast, but not without some rings -- collect your first one when you hit the Start button!

This gorgeous start button features a 3D shiny metallic gold ring surrounding 'Start' in a Sonic-esque font.

This button is also available with a clear resin fill in the center of ring, filled up evenly with the top edge of the ring for a smooth surface finish. (Special thanks to Sierra & Joe of Cosmic Craft Company for expertly performing the resin fill!) This option allows for personal preference -- some prefer to feel the whole torus depth of the ring, but others prefer it filled & smooth, so you have your choice!

Be sure to also check out the alternate version -- the Goal Ring -- and several other Sonic mods here!

FAQ: What's that small line on the left side of the ring? A: in 3D printing, all layers must start & end somewhere, and shiny metallic filaments are particularly sensitive to this process and will show a surface mark at this location. As such, it is best to arrange these start/stop points in a line (called a 'seam') where they aren't visible -- but unfortunately, round objects have no place to hide it. Numerous tests were run to determine the most subtle placement of the seam. It visibility is very dependent on the viewing angle -- when viewed from a standard player distance/height, or when lit up, the seam is not very noticeable. What catches your eye most is the beautiful gleam of light reflecting off the ring surface!

Please review the pictures to help decide your preferred style. This design was initially created to be used on Ryan McQuaid's award-winning Sonic Spinball homebrew. His preferred version was resin-filled, as shown in the photos. Note this older version had yellow backing behind the blue lettering; the current version uses gold backing to add shine and match the ring.

Arcade / on-location games can credit up through various non-traditional means, e.g., paid location entry with all games on free play, swipe card systems, integrated cashless systems, bill collectors, etc. Some locations might switch games between coin drop and free play for tournaments or other events. In these cases, operators may want to cover the coin slots to prevent confusion -- especially from younger clientele who aren't always sure how to operate or credit the games. Locations who do utilize coin drop might experience a coin slot that jams or breaks (without immediate opportunity to repair), so an operator might want to cover one of the two available slots.

In any of the above scenarios, consider Rocket City Pinball's CoinBlockers! These are designed to fit most modern games that use the Universal Pinball Validator Door (P/N 40-0696-30) from Suzo-Happ (reference https://na.suzohapp.com/products/coin_doors/40-0696-30). CoinBlockers are designed to snugly fit over the coin slot frames, and have a textured surface finish to blend in with the finish of the door. Simply press the CoinBlocker firmly in place and the coin slots disappear! To remove, firmly grasp the CoinBlocker and pull/rock it until it pops off.

Q: Could a guest remove this?
A: Only with adequate force -- but why would they? The CoinBlocker blends in with the door and in most cases will be completely ignored. It cannot be removed with an inadvertent bump; they are very snug when installed so removal requires intent.

CoinBlockers are available in Dual-Slot style which covers both slots (ideal for free play or swipe card setups). Broken or jammed slot? Cover it in a flash (until you have time to repair it) with the single-slot style CoinBlocker. One wall on the Single-Slot version is thin enough to fit between the two slot frames. Single-Slot style can also be used on doors with wider slot spacing (e.g., 40-0707-00), or exported games with only a single slot.

Wanna get fancy? CoinBlockers can also be customized with your location's logo! Send a vectorized or layered version of your logo and it can be printed right onto your CoinBlocker. (For customized CoinBlockers, you must add one Customization Fee to your cart, regardless of the number of CoinBlockers you intend to order. This is for the time required to process the logo and integrate it into the CoinBlocker model for printing.)

Replace your boring plain start button with a gorgeous 3D start button from Rocket City Pinball!

Six options are available for Harry Potter, all of which are 3D-printed in 5 to 6 different colors using mid-layer filament changes to fuse all sections together into one beautiful button.

The stylized house crest versions feature transparent outer sections as well as transparent crest backgrounds, and metallic foreground animals with a pleasing hemispherically-rounded shape. Choose your assigned house! Some details on the filament types/colors used:
- Gryffindor's transparent red base features gold sparkles to match the gold lion.
- Slytherin's transparent green base features sparkles to match the silver snake.
- Ravenclaw's features a unique metallic black for the eagle.
- Hufflepuff's crest frame is black with gold sparkles, complementing the yellow base. Even the crest's dark sections are a transparent gray, allowing the entire crest to light up.

The Quidditch variation features a quidditch hoop, with wood grain and a mounting brace, a quaffle scoring a goal, and a small snitch flying in the background, on a sky blue base. This is also available on a white/clear base, if you prefer cloudy skies.

Special thanks to stigg for the wood grain, nawadap for the quaffle, and Innovations 3D for the crests, all of which have been heavily manipulated and modified to incorporate into my designs.
