Sonic Radio Light Corrector for Foo Fighters

$35.00

On Foo Fighters, the Sonic Radio’s main speaker light is very, very dim. Below the playfield is a huge rectangular cutout for this insert, and yet Stern has one tiny LED to light up this entire region — and it just doesn’t cut it. The knobs are bright, but the speaker is pitifully dark. Go ahead, see for yourself … I’ll wait.

Now that you can’t unsee how terrible that is, Rocket City Pinball is here with the solution — the Sonic Radio Light Corrector Mod! This isn’t as simple as just tapping into a light with clips, because this light comes from an LED board.

This 100% reversible mod includes the following components:
– a custom made 4-pin male-to-female wiring extension, which fits between the original connector and the light board
– a pre-installed tap with matrix connectors and splitters to piggyback power from the original light (tapping into the custom extension allows access to power without modifying your original wiring)
– a custom designed & 3D printed mount, with two integrated Comet star post lights

The mount has several key features:
– proper spacing for the post lights to maximize light distribution throughout the insert
– the mount itself covers the existing LED on the light board, but also has raised edge to stop errant light from bleeding out under the playfield
– a ‘bridge’ rises up under the insert, which blocks light from bleeding through the artwork that partially covers the insert in this area

Rocket City Pinball’s preference of light color is the white; it matches the original design intent and the knob lights. However, some users may prefer an extra splash of color, so it is also available in red, green, or purple.
