John Wick Akira / Osaka Continental lit ramp cover

(2 customer reviews)

$35.00

Dress up the Akira ramp with an improved Osaka Continental plastic! The existing dolphin-shaped clear airball protector and the empty ramp passage don’t add anything to the decor of the game. This upgraded cover emulates the other plastics in the game — a darker color with the “neon” border (which lights up!), plus the ramp’s symbol on top.

The final product is 3D printed in multiple colors per layer, to accommodate several design considerations including camouflaging its attach points (steel colored tabs attached at the OEM installation points, but then blend in with the surrounding metal), internal structural strength (its primary purpose is to prevent the airballs flying off the ramp), border stripe translucence to light up, and a touch of extra border colorization to nice while unlit too. The opaque black ‘main’ section creates a tunnel for the ball to pass through, and the LED lights of your choice light up the plastic’s border and tunnel entry & exit. Lights tie into the game’s general illumination (Comet matrix bulb and LED strip included).

Border color is available in green, red, light blue, and pink. Light is available in white for all four colors, or green for green, red for red, blue for blue, or purple for pink. Please review the pictures included in this listing, and the color demos at the end of the installation instruction videos, to help make your preferred selection.

This is a great upgrade to the original (both in looks and durability). We cracked the original due to the air ball potential on this ramp and this upgrade is way more durable. The red version looks like it belongs on the machine better than the cheap original. Highly recommend.

Very easy to install. Video on YouTube. I found it easier to remove the bulb from under the playfield with the screw and pull down the socket to put new lamp w/connector in. Had to move the LED strip to around the corner as the ball was hitting it and rejecting back down the ramp during test play but you just have to move the strip from the entry area to the exit.
